Abstract:
Selling a stock is an important part of investment in
equity markets. Here we
present several selling rules based on
sound mathematical analysis together
with real data examples.
The goal is to maximize the overall investment return
by selling
the stock at the "right time" either to realize a profit (or to
cut
loss short). The underlying model is a set of geometric
Brownian motions with
regime switching.
