Abstract:
　

Intravenous injection of contrast material is required in CTA. Synchronization of the bolus peak and the imaging aperture is a problem in current CT technology. In this talk, we present a bolus chasing CTA for a wide class of diagnostic applications. The goal is achieved by developing a local bolus model, instantaneously reconstruction and feedback of images, real time prediction of bolus propagation and adaptively varying scaning pitch. Theoretical analysis and experimental results will be presented.

Biography:
　

Erwei Bai received his PhD from the ECE Dept, UC Berkeley, 1987. He is Professor of Electrical Enginering at the University of Iowa. His research interests are in the areas of identification, control and their applications in engineering and medicine. He is an IEEE Fellow and a recipient of the Regents Award for Faculty Excellence as well as a recipient of the President\'s Award for Teaching Excellence.
