Jiewen GUAN

ABOUT ME

I'm currently a second-year Ph.D. student at the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, studying very fortunately under the guidance of Prof. Anthony Man-Cho So. Previously, I obtained my M.Eng. degree from Xiamen University, where I had great fortune to have Prof. Bilian Chen as my advisor. After that, I was doing as a full-time research assistant at the Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences, School of Information Management and Engineering, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, studying with great pleasure with Prof. Simai He, Prof. Bo Jiang, and Senior Lecturer Zhening Li. My current study interests lie in the convex hull of (1) nonsmooth optimization, (2) tensor analysis and computations, as well as (3) modern machine learning.
