China is well-known in full of different kinds of fortune telling methods,
like reading your palm, your face....,etc. Actually, when people are
knowing more and more, they begin to understand that those fortune
telling theories are quite scientific and accurate to a certain extent.
Here I present you one of the most popular and simple fortune telling
method among general chinese people, esp. those working in the farm. It
is called  . Because of its simplicity, it may not be so accurate, but just for fun or an introduction, I think it would be apporiate.

After this Idea came up, I begin to implement it. However, there are two main problems I encountered. First, most WWW browsers nowadays(esp. those in overseas) cannot display BIG-5 chinese character properly. And at the same time my page need many chinese words to be displayed. Eventually I chose chinese character gif at the expense of speed. I really hope that WWW browsers capable of viewing chinese character can get popular soon, anyway, 1/4 of the world population is Chinese right?! Another problem is that most people do not know their birthday...I mean, date and time in lunar calendar. (actually, who would expect our generation to know such things??) I have thought of translating the date for the user, but I can't get the algorithm(I even don't kown whether is any). Another way to do it is to build the database by myself, but... I am too busy for that. So, lastly, I provide some information, and hope the visitors can find out themselves. :P |
