Keynotes


APWeb 2013 will have three keynote talks.

Prof. H. V. Jagadish, University of Michigan, USA

Prof. Jagadish is an ACM Fellow, trustee of the VLDB Endowment, the founder of Proceedings of the VLDB Endowment (PVLDB) and ACM SIGMOD Digital Review. His research has spanned many aspects of Big Data, and has worked extensively in many topics, including semi-structured databases, bioinformatics, and database usability.

Prof. Mark Sanderson, RMIT University, Australia

Prof. Sanderson is currently Associate Editor of ACM Transactions on the Web and Information Processing and Management, on the editorial board of Foundations and Trends in Information Retrieval. He is the co-PC Chair of ACM SIGIR 2012. His research area is in information retrieval, including evaluation of search engines, geographic search, cross language IR.

Prof. Dan Suciu, University of Washington, USA

Prof. Suciu is an ACM Fellow. His research area is in data management, with an emphasis on Web data management and managing uncertain data.
